What it is
Transform My Role extracts proposals from a job description and looks for relevant catalogue roles. Where a suitable reference exists, the comparison can support a discussion of development needs. The result requires review and does not assess demonstrated competence.
Practitioners can use the reference to frame questions for a manager, mentor or educator.
Counsellors and educators can discuss the proposed differences and their relevance to a learner.
Professional bodies can contribute domain expertise, sources and reviewers.
What a professional body can contribute
- Discipline expertise and a clear account of the work the profile should describe.
- Relevant sources, with permission to use the material where required.
- Participants who can review the proposed relationships and record their judgements.
- A plan for maintaining the profile as practice and source material change.
What needs to be agreed
- The intended audience, discipline, jurisdiction and profile scope.
- The supporting evidence, review process and responsibility for decisions.
- The development schedule, costs, attribution and publication arrangements.
- The permitted uses and any required outputs or integrations.
